A small, Christ-centered schoolhouse in Middle Georgia built around great books, nature, meaningful work, strong families, and the radical idea that children should have plenty of time to simply be children.

Freebird Schoolhouse exists to glorify God by helping children discover His handiwork throughout all of creation while empowering families to embrace their God-given role as the primary educators of their children.

We partner with families to cultivate an unhurried childhood filled with wonder, meaningful work, rich literature, and hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, wisdom, and freedom. Rooted in biblical truth and conservative values, we believe education is not confined to four walls but is found in fields, forests, farms, books, conversations, and everyday life.

Through immersive, nature-based learning, we seek to awaken a lifelong love of learning, encourage children to take ownership of their education, and demonstrate the love of Christ through faithful service. Our desire is to help raise the next generation to know truth, pursue excellence, steward God's creation, and faithfully live out the unique calling He has placed on each of their lives.
